Race Details
This race is all about bringing the running community together and supporting those who want to go far, with the ultimate flexibility to start whenever you want and run as much or as little as you want. During the 12-hour race window from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 18, you can tackle as many laps as you choose on our 1.9-mile easy trail loop, which features mostly grass underfoot and offers approximately 65% shade (see the linked Strava map below). There is absolutely no pressure here—naps are allowed, beer stops are allowed, walking is allowed, and spectating is highly encouraged, so just come out, pace yourself, and have fun with it!
Party Details
At the end of the race we'll have a celebration, potluck style! We'll be serving pulled pork with rolls and ask that everyone brings a side dish to share. We have refrigerators on-site and also the ability to reheat any dishes. We'll have some beer but we ask that you bring your beverages of choice and perhaps some to share if you're feeling generous.
Camping
With a 6am start, we recommend camping Friday night as well as Saturday night to take full advantage of the party. Camping will be in a shaded meadow. We'll have campfires with s'more supplies both nights.
Porta potties will be on site.
Cost
We're keeping this cheap. Once we figure out how much the porta potties cost and how many people are coming, we'll divide the cost among each other. Hoping the cost will be no greater than $15-20.
Shirts
We're working with Phil to make a cool race shirt. We'll let you all know when we're ready for orders.
Other Info
We'll provide water and ice during the race.
Bring anything else you'll need to succeed and have fun (e.g. comfy chairs, massage guns, etc.).
Route
Tough miles. Good times. Deep roots.
Walnut Ridge Farm isn’t just the race venue—it’s our family home. Tucked into the rolling, rugged hills of North Codorus, Pennsylvania, this land and its ridges have been shaping generations since the original farmhouse was built back in 1877.
Who We Are
A social running group in Lancaster for people who like hitting the pavement and checking out local spots. We just meet up for casual routes around town and finish at a bar to hang out. Anyone is welcome to join—show up, run your own pace (some of us run fast, some just jog), and meet us for a drink.
